SPAD Students are LU Athletes of the Week

Cameron Brooks and Gracie Tetzlaf are the LU Athletes of the Week!

Gracie Tetzlaf, 3rd Year SPAD Student

Gracie Tetzlaff:  Cross Country Running

Gracie, a 3rd year Sports Administration student competed in the Waterloo Open this past weekend leading her Lady Vees to victory. Tetzlaff finished second among University runners and sixth overall in a time of 15:24 for the four-kilometre race. Way to go Gracie! With Tetzlaff’s strong finish, she helped her Lady Vees finish with a total team score of 28 points which was good enough for the win.

Cameron Brooks, 1st Year SPAD Student

Cameron Brooks:  Voyageurs Soccer

Cameron Brooks, 1st year Sports Administration student, played a strong game on the back-line for Laurentian as they fought a hard battle against the Trent Excalibur, resulting in a 1-1 draw.
In a game that saw Trent take an early 1-0 lead at the start of the second half, Brooks responded quickly by getting his foot on a loose ball and placing it into the bottom left corner as a result of a Voyageur free-kick. Brooks would tie the game with his first OUA goal, helping Laurentian earn a point in the overall standings. Congratulations Cameron on scoring your first goal in a Voyageur jersey!
