SGA Presents Tony Lee

SGA Presents Tony Lee

By SPAD Blogger Andrew Leach

As the year rolls on, the next of the third year events takes center stage. The Tony Lee show has sold out more University and College performances and received more awards than any other performer in Canadian History. With over 5000 sold out performances in the past 2 decades, and it is now time for him to bring his talents back to Laurentian University. A group of SPAD students, along with support from the SGA/AGE are currently in the process of organizing the event, which takes place on January 21st, 2012 in the Frazer Auditorium.

Not only is the show a hilarious, slightly outrageous performance, but it is also an excellent opportunity for the students to expand their knowledge in the field of event management. It puts the students through real life tests which they would face in the field and allows them to perform with actual consequences should an error be made.

This year’s show is set to be the best ever, with a promising young comedian from the London area, Randy Komi, acting as an opening act, and Emcee who will be sure to have the audience begging for more. Randy’s talents, combined with the experience of Tony Lee, and the organization of SPAD, will be sure to become a deadly trio of fun and laughter, resulting in a great night out for students, as well as members of the local community.

The tickets are being sold for $15 in advance, but will also be available at the door, for an increased price of $18.
